Sir Edmond Bourbon Vanilla Gin
Sir Edmond gin is the world's first gin infused with Bourbon vanilla. Originally from the Netherlands, Sir Edmond is made from six types of spices: pine, ginger, angelica, cardamom, cinnamon and of course bourbon vanilla. The already mentioned vanilla comes from the island of La Reunion, which is in the immediate vicinity of the popular Madagascar. By the way, Bourbon vanilla is the second most expensive spice in the world after Saffron.
In the production of Sir Edmond gin, after distillation, the Bourbon vanilla is chopped into small pieces, the vanilla is infused into alcohol where it is aged for 6 to 8 weeks, in order to obtain maximum vanilla extraction. After this process, the complete liquid is poured into a new tank where it rests for an additional seven days.
