In the 1970s, in our great-grandfather’s orchard, red ranka plums were grown, ripened, and harvested. Then, used only for family needs, this seemingly ordinary plum – today a rare Serbian autochthonous variety – received the full attention of the Đorđević family. Alongside red ranka, Čačanska Lepotica and Čačanska Rodna plums also deserved recognition, when in 1996 we laid the foundations for the future by expanding our orchards. We enriched them with other miraculous fruits – quince, pear, and apricot.
Knowledge was acquired, experience passed down, and tradition nurtured – all of which poured into the soul of Rtanjska.
